best for forest camping use
I do have a Laplander as well, brought before the Silky. It is a good saw processing wood until certain diameter but once you are speaking about the wood for winter overnight trips then Silky Bigboy can't be replaced. Also using this saw at my mother house for prunning.
Great quality, goes trough logs like butter, grip is non-slip rubber, 2 positions for the lock. Just everything is needed.
Down side would be same as for every foldings, blade can snap if you are not paying attention at the push.
Great job Silky!!!
The saw does his work excellent, but user should it use carefully because it is long and tiny, so if you do not use it delicate you can broke it, as i did it once, but otherwise it is great saw.
Best saw ever.
I've started using this amazing folding saw one month ago.
I've been truly impressed since the first time for its flawless performance.
It cuts every type of wood with no Effort in a very small amount of time.
SILKY Badboy 2000 is became my fundamental sawing tool for my long trips into the woods.
Very light for its dimension, it is always attached on the side of my long-trip pack.
I think it also has the Best quality/price ratio.
Noone will beat Silky on the Market!
Keep up the great work!
I recently tried the BigBoy for the first time and I was instantly surprised by the high performance! It is very well made and surprisingly light for its size. I like that you can lock the blade in different angles and that it has a comfortable, rubbery grip.
I didn't need to use much effort to cut through big logs and I was impressed by how quick the cutting was. After only a few pulls the log was cut all the way through!
This saw will be my first choice during winter camping and when I know I need lots of firewood.
Tip! Being too big to place in my pants side pocket, I would recommend getting a case or a sheath for it. That way you can holster your saw while carrying wood back to camp.
